Time for W #1 Wizards!
Brennan is getting the start followed by Taylor. Al is going to be the clean up guy. We’re going 4 innings or two times thru the lineup with Brennan and Taylor, whichever comes first.
Once again, great defense by Dylan, Flaming Yoshi (Kurosawa, who by the way survived his spiking incident with minor blood loss), Miller in center (not as much in left… haha) and Todd behind the dish.
Come ready to hit!
Note: That’s the baseball field on the bottom. The infield is turf. No metal spikes, no seeds and no chew. I think the first time fine for seeds and chew on a turf field is $50.
Sunday, 7pm. The Seattle Wizards will be taking on the Seattle Pilots at Mercer Island North. The Wizards begin a new year with a whole new look. There are more new names on the roster than guys I remember from last year.

It’s Not wabbit season. It’s not duck season. It’s Hurricane Season!
First live action for the 2012 Seattle Wizards is this Sunday, Sunday, Sunday @ 12 noon where the Mighty Wizards take on the Hurricanes of Fife. Fife has hurricanes, you ask? Well, not real hurricanes. It’s just a baseball team.
How do you know if you’re on path for the hurricane? Just follow the map.
How do you defeat a Hurricane? Easy. Poke it in the eye!
… What a crappy conclusion to a crappy season. This season started with a schedule pulled right out of a smelly hole. 3 games in April, 1 game in May, 7 in June, 2 in July and 5 in August. We were actually scheduled to have over a month off between games going into wood bat month. With rainouts we had another month off with no games after the 4th of July. I came to find out we weren’t scheduled to play in July because teams have tournaments in July… well, not our team. Well, no further bitching on my part. Here are the last 2 games.

The Doc needs a ton of hits this weekend. He needs to go 5 for 6 this weekend to get his season average up to .300. Well, not really. The Doc has bad averages in odd number years and good in even ones. The Doc’s even year average is .341. He has hit .220 in odd years. That’s odd. Well, here’s to 2012… if he’s allowed back.

Well, the quality of the posts this year pretty much coincide with the quality of the season. The least we can do is bring our A game and hand some team some big L’s. Let’s knock of #’s 2 and 3 this weekend Wizards. I could use a little creativity spark going into next year.
